Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween is an exciting time of year for kids and to help them have a safe holiday, here are a few tips to follow:

1. Walk safely

Always walk on sidewalks or paths. Ensure to only cross the street at corners and to use crosswalks and follow traffic signals. Keep your head up and avoid looking down at electronics while walking.

2. Trick or Treat with an adult

Children under the age of 12 should not be alone at night without adult supervision

3. Wear costumes that are safe

When possible choose light colors and decorate with reflective tape or stickers. Kids may also carry glow sticks or flashlights. Make sure costumes are the correct size to prevent tripping.

4. Drive extra slow

Anticipate high volume pedestrian traffic in residential areas and drive cautiously through intersections.
If you follow these few simple tips, it’ll provide a safe and enjoyable holiday for our little ones!!😊🎃
